Where are you located?
We are located at 4411 SE 53rd Ave., Ocala, Florida 34480, in the heart of horse country. Based in Ocala, we work with customers nationwide who expect higher standards in medium-duty trucks.
Do you finance?
Yes. We partner with lenders who understand the specialty-hauler and medium-duty markets. Whether purchasing personally or through a business, we connect you with the right lenders to secure financing that fits your needs.
Do you accept trades?
Yes. We accept quality trade-ins, including trucks and specialty haulers, if they make sense. Every trade is evaluated based on real-time market data, condition, mileage, and demand, ensuring fair and transparent valuations.
Do you need a CDL?
Many of our trucks can be operated without a CDL, especially for private use, depending on configuration and GVWR. Licensing requirements vary by state, and we are happy to help guide you through the requirements that apply to your situation.
How is the selling price determined?
Our pricing reflects current market conditions, vehicle specifications, and the work completed through our structured reconditioning process. We do not price based on guesswork; we price based on value, preparation, and demand.
Is the truck Pre-DEF?
Based on availability, we offer pre-DEF models (typically 2010 and older). Availability changes quickly due to demand. Please contact us directly for the current inventory.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We coordinate nationwide delivery. Whether you are across the state or across the country, we can arrange transportation so that your truck arrives safely and efficiently. The delivery cost will depend on the distance.
Do you buy trucks?
Yes. We actively purchase clean, well-maintained medium-duty trucks and specialty haulers. If you have a truck to sell, contact us with details and photos for evaluation.
What is the towing capacity?
Towing capacity varies based on engine, axle ratio, suspension, and hitch configuration. We provide exact specifications for each truck so you know exactly what it can handle. Hauling capacity can range from 15,000lbs on the bumper hitch to 35,000lbs on a Gooseneck or 5th wheel configuration. Some larger models can exceed 35,000 lbs.
What is the GVWR?
GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) depends on the chassis and configuration. Most of our inventory ranges from 19,500 lbs. to 33,000 lbs. We will provide the exact rating for any specific unit.
What engine is in the truck?
Engine platforms vary by model year and configuration. Common options include Cummins, Caterpillar, Mercedes, Detroit, Navistar and PACCAR platforms. Each truck listing specifies the exact engine and horsepower rating.

Do you have a warranty?
Most trucks are sold ‘As Is’. Warranty options vary based on age and mileage. Some newer trucks still have the factory warranty. We will clearly outline available coverage options for each unit. 3rd-party warranties are available, but at the dealership, they often become profit centers. At TDP, we prefer customers to go directly to the 3rd-party warranty provider, which removes the dealer’s profit from the service they provide.
What is the deposit process?
To secure a truck, we require a non-refundable deposit once terms are agreed upon. This holds the vehicle while financing, paperwork, and final preparations are completed. We believe in clear expectations and straightforward transactions.
Can I buy the truck before the reconditioning process is complete?
Yes. We will clearly communicate what has been completed and what remains in progress. Transparency matters; you will always know the truck’s status before committing.
What does your reconditioning process consist of?
At The Dixie Pickers, we do not flip trucks or pass the hidden problems on to the buyer; we prepare them to a higher standard.
Upon request, we can send you a full list of our recon process. Every truck is evaluated through a disciplined process designed to ensure reliability, drivability, and presentation.
“When it comes to Custom Haulers, We Set the Standard.”
